Fitness Connected

Data and privacy you can understand

How Fitness Connected behaves with health data, connections, and groups, written to sit alongside the Privacy Policy.

Know where your health data comes from

Fitness Connected reads supported health and activity data from Apple Health on iPhone or Health Connect on Android. You grant permissions for the categories you want to use, and Fitness Connected organizes available supported data into daily metrics and trends.

You decide what Fitness Connected can access

Permissions live in Apple Health or Health Connect settings. You can allow, limit, or revoke the health categories Fitness Connected may read. If a permission is off, or a source never wrote that data into the health platform, Fitness Connected will not invent a reading.

Connections do not automatically mean health visibility

Your visibility setting controls who can see your health data. A connection by itself does not grant access. If your profile is set to Everyone, your health data can be visible more broadly. If it is set to Mutual Connections, only people you are mutually connected with can see it.

The same works in reverse: their visibility setting determines what you can see about them.

Connecting back makes an existing one-way connection mutual immediately.

Groups have their own shared context

Groups give people a shared view of activity through standings, averages, and Compare. Joining a group does not change the privacy choices you have made for your personal profile or connections. Being in a group does not make all of your health data public to every member outside those group experiences.

Your source health data remains yours

Fitness Connected account deletion removes or de-identifies Fitness Connected-stored data according to the Privacy Policy. Source data in Apple Health or Health Connect is not deleted by Fitness Connected.

Your choices can change

You can change health permissions, update profile visibility, leave groups where the product allows, and delete your account. If you own a group, you may need to transfer or delete that group before account deletion can finish.

For step-by-step deletion help, see Account Deletion.
